So sometime last year (2025) – around Summer to Autumn – I woke up in bed early only to be faced with quite the scariest wake up call I had to that date.
It first appeared I had woken early as usual. But as I started to come to, I felt pressure holding me down on my forehead and eyes. It was like a man’s hands were on me, prying my eyes open while trying to keep them shut.
I then realised my body felt heavy like sleep paralysis.

I just knew someone unseen was in the room around me. I had the sense and knowing, as if being communicated with via telepathy, that this man-spirit had come into my bedroom from the school fields at the back of our garden.
He had been curious as he had wandered up. Then finding me and the room filled with witchcraft and so on, he took an instant disliking.
I got the sense he was a man from the 1600s to 1700s maybe a bit later. I also just sensed he hated women and especially hated women who practised the old and occult crafts. Yet I kind of got the sense he had been very badly treated or falsely accused of witchcraft during his life.

I realised I had woken into a false awakening or I had been awake but in the liminal state. This wasn’t a dream or lucid dream of any kind. It was as real as me typing the blog now.
I am naturally sceptical as well as team believer in paranormal events like this, and I have had many other experiences. You may wonder why when I actively practice all these things and have had many manifestations and been on the path for many years. But that’s why.
I have done far more than popular culture trending manifesting and witchcraft. I’ve tried things, F***ing messed around and found out. Most stuff out there is dead dogma, others is washed out trends and new age crap and others are people who go on a 2 day weekend workshop (hosted by Karen Crystalpops who knows nothing of anything), and they call themselves a qualified shaman or druid or something.

So back to my encounter, was it a ghost or a very vivid dream? I honestly don’t know. It was an experience though. And an experience I haven’t had the like of since. I did use my shamanism to investigate further via a vision quest, and this did yield some interesting things.
The spirit was a man, named John, from the said time period. He had escaped the south west, when his wife and her lover tried to killed him and framed him as a witch (which was punishable by death at the time). There was a settlement nearby the area beyond my home. He had squatted there or resettled there. He had fallen for someone else in the settlement but she wouldn’t have anything to do with him and this made him very bitter. She also was a practitioner of the old crafts, which made him very anti women like her and me.
Now is any of this true? I can’t validate it officially. However it is a good story. Also its not too far fetched so could be plausible. It was still worth writing up all my experiences in my journal and being like that’s cool and and interesting. But and experience is all it was. He did give me some things to verify this was real. But nothing will come of this until archaeology digs stuff up (it has to do with 2-3 nearby locations for giant graves – bizarre right?).

I just want to add before I finish, My ghost experience had no visual emanation of an entity or person. The entity could be felt but not seen. Only in the closed eyes imagination could anything come for a visual of the spirit man named John. Now this is actually more common than you may expect. The imagination I am talking about is not the everyday standard surface level one, I am talking about the deeper level esoteric of the imagination. The ones Magi and occultists and hypnotherapists have used for millennia.

Thanks for reading and see you next time. Also I would be interested in your stories and thoughts on this. My August to December is all about seeing where traditional occult and modern manifesting converge or disprove each other.
