Hi Sophie here. Today I will talk about a pet peeve I have in law of attraction and law of assumption; one that many content creators and coaches have too from what I can tell and understand.
I have noticed and seen on youtube and social media, where everyone swarms a video, comment, post etc and say “Oh Dm me your affirmations?!…. What were the exact affirmations? … ” etc. It’s annoying as some are just phishing to con and scam fans and followers etc. But it’s also annoying because my affirmations are personal and natural to my situation, culture and all that.
Let’s say I am from Birmingham UK (which I am), and you are from Texas USA, we speak and think very differently. I have British slang and idioms that are not even known in the USA and vise versa. So a simple affirmation like “I earn £3,000 a month,” would come up differently in my head and I would speak it out very differently to someone in the USA.
The way we think and speak actually causes us to relate to and perceive realities very differently. The occult is full of teachings and examples of how language and speech causes and influences reality, same with how thoughts shape reality and form too.
The simple “I earn £3,000 a month” would have many different explicit and implicit differences and influences and meanings to each of us. I personally think nothing of the potential to earn that amount even though its a big amount and a big manifestation to me. But to someone in the USA and in a different situation or relationship to money, $3,000 a month would be nothing or it could be like earning $1m a month. To me £3,000 is over 2x my monthly income on a good month, yet I am from a wealthy upbringing so money like that is about average yet for me personally it would be enough of a stretch to grow and expand.
This is all I will say for now, before I ramble and over complicate my point.
